Steamboat Springs Evangelical Free Church

Our church meets for worship at 10 o'clock on Sunday morning at the Christian Heritage School.  Our worship is simple and informal but above all, Christ centered, blending a mix of contemporary songs and traditional hymns.  We would love to have you join us whether you're here for a visit or you have recently moved to town.  We welcome you to visit our church family and enjoy our fellowship with the Lord and one another!

We believe in sola scriptura, that everything we believe and teach comes from the Bible as the Word of God revealed to mankind.  Sermons are always derived from the text of Scripture and are a vital part of our service.  The latest sermon series is from the book of Colossians, written two thousand years ago, but which is still a correction to the false teaching about God and Christ in our own time.

In the opening verse of Colossians Paul tells his readers then and now just why we should listen to him.  At this time there are more books being written about God than ever before, one could argue.  Why listen to them?  Why should we take take what people have to say about God to be true?  And why should we listen to Paul, for that matter?  Who we trust and why we trust them is no small matter; eternity hangs in the balance.  Listen to last Sunday's message from the first verse of Colossians, Why Believe What You Read About God, by downloading it here.

More sermons from the past several years can be accessed through the Sermons Online page from the menu.

The purpose of our church is to glorify God through loving relationships with Christ,
one another
and the people of our community

Sunday, October 5
This Sunday we share at the Lord's Table together, in remembrance of the love of God in Christ that changes us forever.
We will  also continue in the second of our series from Paul's letter to the Colossians.

Why does God save through faith?  What's so great about faith?
